#SCBDEventRecap: .@RailyardTavern’s First Annual Wine and Beer Tasting

After countless times of passing Railyard Tavern and wanting to go in i finally had the opportunity to! On June 16th I had the pleasure of Attending Railyard’s First Ever Wine and Beer Tasting. Upon entering guests were greeted by Sue one of the owners of Railyard Tavern and were seated at one of two community tables. The night began with introductions of the wines and craft beers. Guests were able to sample at their leisure the different wines and Beers. My First stop was the Domestic Table which was filled with about 8 different wines both Red and White with Wines from the U.S. All the representatives were so helpful in providing history about the Wine and in some cases back stories about how the wine got its name. The night was filled with plenty of good drinks, Great Food and tons of laughs!

On the menu was a Garden Salad, Shrimp Primavera, Pasta with Red Sauce, and Chicken Francece. Dessert was a homemade chocolate brownie which was so rich it was to die for.

Guests were able to sample wines along with dinner to taste the difference it makes when having a wine without food as compared to with and the difference is significant in some cases!

John Mango representative From Avenue Wines was in attendance and have history of many of the wines we sampled. One of my Favorites of the Night Was Naked Flock Cider which is from a local brewery in Warwick NY. They have a line of three ciders, Original Draft Cider, and Summer Ale. Naked Flock Ciders are made with Honey and or ┬áMaple Syrup to give them their sweet taste. All three Naked Flock Ciders’ are available in Draft

One of my Favorite wines of the night was a White Wine Piccini Pinot which is a refreshing a light wine

Another one was The Kim Crawford wine which was a fruity and floral wine. You tasted the guava and the papya which is what i liked.

Railyard Tavern did an awesome job Hosting their First Annual Wine and Beer tasting this is definitively an event you don’t want to miss especially if you love to try unique and different Wines and Beers

Make sure to check out their website for more information on their menu, their weekly and events and more!
